doodledoMOTION is a video led creative agency in Manchester. And I am it’s founder from Yorkshire. They say a Yorkshireman is like a Scotsman with the generosity squeezed out. And so it was that I didn’t want to pay for our office to be cleaned. The truth was though, I was paying quite a lot for it to be cleaned by highly qualified animators and producers who as it turns out were much better at animating and producing than they were at cleaning. They didn’t much like it either. I spoke to Katie from Best Clean Direct and another cleaning provider, and whilst there wasn’t much in it, the Yorkshire in me went for the cheapest option. After six months, numerous complaints, having to re-clean after their visits and constant battles, I made my way, tail between my legs and with a fair slice of humble pie, back to Katie to see if she wouldn’t mind taking on our cleaning. They did and the difference was far more pronounced than I could have imagined. Our employees didn’t know the cleaning contract had changed provider, but the day after their first clean, everyone commented on how brilliant the office looked. We’re shop shape, looking good and feeling good. You’d be surprised how much that affects the way people feel when they come to work. And ultimately I’m paying less than when the costs were hidden in the business. You will not meet a more dedicated or hard working team, than Katie’s. And she leads from the front in that regard. I cannot recommend Katie and her team highly enough. Candida carries out our office clean twice a week to the highest standards, she’s lovely and always does a fantastic job. It is evident that Katie cares about her staff and invests in thorough training; they take great pride in their work and when they carried out a deep clean of our office at the start of our contract, they left the office immaculate.
